The Story of a Family Passion
The Montaigne Haute Couture adventure began in 1907, when Richard d'Orsay joined the Callot Sœurs workshops on Avenue Montaigne. His talent and dedication allowed him to become one of the most respected artisans of his time. His son, Guy d'Orsay, inherited this love of the craft and joined the house of Christian Dior in 1949, working alongside his father before becoming one of the house's leading couturiers.
In 1997, Julien d'Orsay, Guy's son, decided to found Atelier Montaigne , perpetuating his family's legacy with a new vision: to make haute couture accessible to an exclusive clientele, while preserving the values of excellence and detail for which Avenue Montaigne is renowned.
A Prestigious House Accessible to the World
Montaigne Haute Couture has evolved with the times. In 2020, under the leadership of Julien d'Orsay, the house took a decisive turn by opening its online boutique, allowing fashion enthusiasts around the world to access unique pieces, designed with the same rigor and attention to detail as in the great Parisian ateliers.
